National women's clothing retailer "Free People" is the latest business to plant a flag on Woodward Avenue in downtown Detroit.
Crain's Detroit Business reports that the store is hiring for four positions for the outlet it plans to open at 1425 Woodward Ave.
The store is located on the same strip of Woodward Avenue where Dan Gilbert is opening the Hudson's Detroit project. Gilbert is credited with developing that area of downtown and luring a number of national brands, including Nike, Lululemon, and Warby Parker.
Apple is also expected to open a store on Woodward Avenue in downtown Detroit in a Gilbert-owned building, and is currently hiring.
