As awards go, this is one of the bigger ones to come around.
An Oakland County Circuit Court jury on Tuesday awarded $106 million to six women who sued Gary Raykhinshteyn, owner of Science Beauty Tech in Birmingham.
The women alleged that their boss subjected them to frequent verbal and physical sexual advances including thrusting his hips into a massage table, making inappropriate remarks about his family members and using the company's LinkedIn account to solicit European prostitutes, the Detroit News reports.
The women, who were named in the 2024 suit as Jane Doe, alleged the incidents happened between 2021 and 2023.
Some were as young as 19 when they were hired, attorney Todd Flood, who represented five of the women, told the News.
Raykhinshteyn told the News the verdict was "completely insane" and said the allegations were lies.
"These women are telling the judge I put a gun to their head and asked them to rub my penis? There is no proof," he said.
