Businessman Perry Johnson, who was booted from the Michigan gubernatorial race in 2022 because of invalid petition signatures, is running for president.

While he may not be a legit contender, he delivered an Oscar-worthy, overly dramatic speech Friday night at the Iowa GOP Lincoln Dinner attended by a number of fellow candidates including ex-President Donald Trump, Gov. Ron DeSantis and Sen. Tim Scott.

He starts off by saying:

"Once America is gone, there is no America. And we're not going to let that happen." He goes on to  talk about how amazing America is, and fires off the names of notable innovators including Elon Musk and Henry Ford. (Watch speech below)

The speech had the same dramatic feel of the "I am as mad as hell" rant by anchorman Howard Beale in the 1976 film "Network," though Johnson's message was far more positive.
